P1 & P3 settings explained (temperature sensor control)Updated 6 days ago
If you ever want to adjust how tightly your Water Chiller 2.0 controls temperature, how quickly the compressor turns on or you’re noticing a larger temperature swing than expected, you can check the P1, P2, and P3 settings on the digital controller.
P1 setting:
This controls how much the water is allowed to warm up before the compressor starts cooling again. It’s preset to 3.6°F, meaning if your target is 40°F, the Chiller will begin cooling again once the water reaches 43.6°F. This setting helps balance energy use and cooling consistency.
To set this setting follow the instructions below:
1. Press and hold the SET button for 3–5 seconds until the parameter menu appears
2. Scroll with the arrow buttons until you see “P1”
3. Press SET once (do not hold)
4. Adjust the value using the arrow buttons
5. Press SET again to confirm
6. Wait a few seconds for the display to return to normal
P3 setting:
This is a sensor calibration setting and should always be preset to 0°F. But if the display temperature doesn’t match the actual water temperature in your tub, check that this setting is still at 0°F. If it is and you’re still seeing a discrepancy, reach out to our Chiller Support Team and they’ll be happy to help.
To set this setting follow the instructions below:
1. Press and hold the SET button for 3–5 seconds until the parameter menu appears
2. Scroll with the arrow buttons until you see “P3”
3. Press SET once (do not hold)
4. Adjust the value with the arrow buttons
5. Press SET again to confirm
6. Wait for the display to return to normal
P2 Setting:
This setting is preset at the factory and should only be adjusted if instructed by our team. This setting determines how many minutes the compressor waits before it turns on.
To set this setting follow the instructions below:
1. Press and hold the SET button for 3–5 seconds until the parameter menu appears
2. Scroll with the arrow buttons until you see “P2”
3. Press SET once (do not hold)
4. Adjust the delay time with the arrow buttons
5. Press SET again to confirm
6. Wait for the display to return to normal
