Why is my water not circulating/pumping?Updated 8 months ago

It sounds like your chiller is running, but you’re having trouble with water circulation. Let’s work through a few steps to resolve this issue:

1. Check the Filter:

  • Make sure the filter is clean and properly installed. If you haven’t cleaned or changed your filter recently, it might be the cause of the problem. You can follow this guide to cleaning your water filter for detailed instructions.

2. Review the Setup:

  • Verify that you’ve followed our setup guide
  • Additionally, locate the white Teflon sealing tape that came with your chiller.
  • Ensure all connections are tight and that rubber seal rings are properly placed around the hose connectors and filter unit.
  • Reconnect everything and open the drain valve(s). Allow water to flow, then open the air vent release valve on the filter unit to expel excess air.
  • Once the filter is full and water starts spurting out of the air vent, plug the chiller back in and turn it on to restart the water pump.
  • This should resolve the issue but it it doesn't continue with step 3

3. Test the Pump:

  • Place your hand on the black pump on the side of the filter (a small wire connects it to the back of the chiller). While holding the pump, plug the chiller back in.
  • If the pump makes noise or vibrates, it likely just has air in the system. Watch this video for a quick fix.
  • If the pump is silent, it might be defective, and we need you to contact us on email and provide a video.

Note: If the temperature on your display drops quickly but the water in the IcePod isn’t cooling, it’s a sign that the chiller is working, but the water circulation needs adjustment.
