Can I keep the water chiller outdoors?Updated 5 days ago

Yes, your Water Chiller is designed to be fully weather-resistant for outdoor use; however, it is also a high-performance appliance with sensitive internal components. To ensure the longevity of your unit, please follow these essential care guidelines:

  • Extreme Weather: While the unit is built for outdoor environments, it is not designed to withstand severe storms, lightning, flooding, etc. During extreme weather events, we recommend moving the unit to a protected indoor area and/or using a cover that protects it from harsh weather and extends its lifespan. Don’t cover it while running, leave at least 15 inches of space for airflow.

  • Winter Storage: As winter approaches, we highly recommend disconnecting the chiller, fully draining it, and storing in a temperature-controlled environment inside your home. Remember, the chiller can only cool, not warm up the water temperature.

  • Freeze Prevention: Please note that keeping the unit running 24/7 outdoors in winter is not a guaranteed method to prevent freeze damage. If water happens to freeze inside the unit, it will cause the internal tank to burst. To protect your unit and keep your warranty valid, we recommend letting nature do the cooling and storing the chiller indoors during the coldest stretches.

  • Warranty Information: Damage resulting from freezing or exposure to extreme environmental conditions is not covered under warranty. A burst internal tank is irreparable.

  • Safety & Airflow: Always ensure the unit has at least 15 inches of clearance for proper airflow while operating. Use a GFCI outlet and a 10-gauge, 3-pin grounded extension cord at all times.
