Error Codes ExplainedUpdated a day ago

If your Water Chiller 2.0 display shows an error code, it means the system has detected an issue that needs attention.

Below is what each error code means and the recommended next steps.

E1 – Water Temperature Sensor Error

What it means:
The system is not receiving a proper reading from the water temperature sensor. In most cases, this is caused by air trapped in the system, low water level or insufficient water circulation.

What to do:

  • Turn the unit OFF and unplug it.

  • Check that the tub and hoses are fully filled with water.

  • Vent all air from the system completely. (Check this article for guidance)

  • Ensure all water lines and valves are fully open.

  • Restart the unit.

  • Confirm the unit is operating in normal room temperature conditions (not freezing or overheated).

If the error returns immediately after proper priming and restart, contact support with a video of the display and confirmation that the system was fully vented.

E2 – Water Flow Error

What it means:
The system restarted the pump multiple times but did not detect proper water flow. This is usually caused by restricted flow or air in the system.

Common causes:

  • Clogged or old filter

  • Air release valve left open

  • Loose connections

  • Air trapped in the system

  • Drain valves partially or fully closed

What to do:

  1. Turn the unit OFF and unplug it.

  2. Clean or replace the filter if needed.

  3. Inspect hoses and fittings for tight connections.

  4. Prime the system properly (fill the filter housing before restarting). Refer to this article for the exact steps.

  5. Check that the air release valve is fully CLOSED before operation.

After completing these steps, restart the unit.

If E2 continues after confirming proper water flow, contact support with a video of the unit running.

LLL – Low Water Temperature Alarm

What it means:
The system is detecting water below 32°F.

Possible causes:

• The water is actually freezing
• The unit is exposed to winter temperatures
• There is no water in the system
• The pump has failed
• The sensor is misreading

What to do:

  1. Turn the unit OFF immediately.

  2. If temperatures are cold, move the unit indoors.

  3. Ensure the system is completely filled with water.

  4. Vent all air from the lines.

  5. Allow the unit and water to return to normal room temperature.

  6. Restart the system and monitor.

If the error continues in normal indoor temperatures after proper setup, contact support.

HHH – High Water Temperature Alarm

What it means:
The system is detecting water above 131°F, which is outside normal operating range.

The unit will typically continue running, but performance may be limited if:

• Ambient temperature is very high
• Tap water is extremely warm
• The unit is in direct sunlight
• Ventilation is restricted

What to do:

  1. Ensure the unit has at least 15 inches of clearance on all sides.

  2. Move the unit out of direct sunlight.

  3. Improve airflow around the unit.

  4. Consider using our insulated lid, cover set, and/or circulation jet.

  5. Add ice to help bring the water temperature down if necessary.

If the HHH code returns in normal indoor conditions, contact support for further review.
