How cold can it chill my water? What temperature do you recommend?Updated 6 months ago

Based on our tests, here’s what you can expect from our chillers:

In a standard indoor environment at 77°F, our standard chiller cools the IcePod water down to 41°F and maintains that temperature with minimal power consumption, turning on only once an hour. For warmer climates like Florida and Texas, we recommend the more powerful PRO Chiller, which can efficiently cool water to 39°F (3°C) at twice the speed of the standard chiller, making it ideal for temperatures above 85°F (30°C).

For first-time cold therapy users, we suggest starting at around 59°F (15°C) and gradually lowering the temperature and duration as your body acclimates. For optimal use, set the chiller to 46°F (8°C) or above to ease power consumption. Clinical studies indicate that the benefits of ice baths and cold therapy are achieved at temperatures below 59°F, so feel free to adjust based on your comfort and goals!
